Dolcenero, why it is so good?
cosa significa dolcenero
If it can be accepted that both Chevrolet and Ferrari create automobiles with four wheels and both fulfill their utilitarian function as primary modes of transportation, then it can also be accepted that ice cream and Italian gelato are also similar in that they are both cold, tasty, and based on dairy products.
Yet, where Chevrolet's automobiles are functional and dependable to a fault, Ferrari's automobiles are works of art crafted in the tradition of Michelangelo's David or Botticelli's Birth of Venus. And here also is the difference in character and quality of gelato and ice cream.
The founding members of Dolcenero experienced the world of the Italian high gastronomy abroad getting to know that eating gelato is an experience far beyond the senses. Eating gelato means to enjoy an emotion, a discovery of the Italian experience and love for good and well done products.
Gelato is both lower in fat and calories compared to traditional American ice cream. In the U.S. ice cream is generally made with cream, and is classified by its butterfat content (12% - 25%). Gelato is made from milk or water, which accounts for a lesser percentage of butterfat (0%-5%) and therefore calories and fat.
To prepare our gelato, we only use high quality products in order to always serve you an ice cream that will meet your expectations.
Our gelato embodies tradition, research, innovation and emotion. We have inherited the profession and made it our passion, and every day we are inspired by you in order to continue to nourish, pamper and surprise you.
Our gelato is made fresh every day, using fresh ingredients such as local fruit and organic milk.
To raise customer awareness on the consumption of natural products, we offer flavours made with carefully selected products such as Bronte Pistachios and Piedmont hezelnuts.
To ensure the freshness, quality and creaminess of our gelato, we produce small quantities at different times of the day to make sure that its average duration does not exceed a few hours.
